PrintToPeer.com has created a great piece of 3D printed sculpture called “Linked” and you can be part!  Of course art is only part of PrintToPeer’s efforts, they are also the creators of a web platform to make 3D printing easier.  Using a Raspberry Pi computer connected to your printer, the web service allows you to do things like virtually slice objects and repair STL files without needing a beefy computer as the work is done in the cloud.  They are currently raising money for their efforts on IndieGoGo with rewards including the ability to have your logo/picture printed to become part of the next showing of the sculpture for as little as $10!

So where does the sculpture fit in?  The sculpture is a really cool method of drawing attention to their great concept.  They have 1600 pieces now and the sculpture was even featured in the book “3D Printing for Dummies”.  You can see more pictures at PrintToPeer’s Flickr page and learn more at their sculpture page.  Please go out and support these guys on IndieGoGo, even if it’s just $10 to become part of the sculpture, you have until June 9th to be a little part of something big!  We’re in and hope you are too!
