Saw a great article in Popular Mechanics about 3D printing of food. I guess it could add a whole new meaning to, “would you like to add…” that a waitress might ask. Now I suppose Italians can claim that they have been practicing additive manufacturing in food for centuries making lasagna one layer at a time, but what they’re talking about here is quite different. This is probably only practical for vending machine and fast food operations, but is a lot of fun to think about.
